That's such an open-ended question...
First read the Survival Guide found on the Burning Man website. Then, do everything it says.

Hey there, and welcome to ePlaya.
I have to guess that this year is not realistic for you. So you have a year to plan for 2014. Start by reading every word on the web site. And participating in various discussions on this forum. By the time 2014 rolls around, you will have a decent grasp of the possibilities -- and whether this event is even for you.

Anyone who describes themselves as "awesome" is somewhat suspect in my book...

Elliot, I get the feeling that you might be saying 6 days isn't enough time to start from scratch and up well prepared on the playa. Sparkleponies make the burn go round, if we cull them before it even starts the numbers might be too low this year!

Sparkle ponies take the ride but they are definitely not what makes it go.
Numbers too low? The problem is just the opposite.
You really need to read the survival guide and get ready to do what it says.
This isn't a party for slackers!

WOW Everybody must be in a great mood what with the burn only days away! I would have thought this thread to already be ripe with snark; but seems like everyone's waiting for the second page rule.

Buy a ticket if you can find one, read the required reading (which contain many of the clues you don't seem to have), and sort out your supplies and transportation. Failing that, start planning now for next year.

There are things we know, things we dont know, things we know we do not know and things we dont know we dont know. Im thinking your part of the latter.
Seriously - it sounds like you came across a "Sweet party pic" followed it back to burningman and are enamored. If theres one thing I know about Burningman, you need to have Time or Money in planning and execution, your not going to get both. Sounds like money is not an option and there is not much time left, but hell funkier things have happened. Naked people have shown up at the gate, gotten in and thrived with food, clothes and all their needs gifted. You had better be one hell of a charismatic person for that to happen IMO.
Personally, if it were me? I would enjoy the web feeds and start planning on next year now.
Your mileage may vary though.
Just thinking in print here, Working with the premise that you want to "Get just my awesome self in..."
1. You Need Transport to Gerlach Nevada
You Have:
A desire to go - You need to drive yourself, carpool, fly to Reno and thumb it North or buy a bus ticket from the provider. Unless you started begging today (and that always goes over well for new burners) it will be extremely difficult to find a carpool.
2. You Need a ticket
There have been people show up naked like I said and the world provides - its been years since I have heard of that happening though. You could sneak in (try too) and go through the perimeter. Seriously though, that would make perimeters night. There are lookouts with night vision and radios and marine radar is set up and on the playa it will pick up a person walking for miles plain as day. You can do the belly crawl and that would be awesome to do for miles. Plenty of perimeter folks are on here as well, they love a challenge.
3. Food - tough to drag across the desert, or to bring with you while thumbing
4. Water - even harder than the food to carry cause its heavy and squishy. A gallon a day minimum to live, or buy ice and melt it.
5. tent, clothing, sleeping bag...?
Im out of time and sarcasm, but if you make it - see you at the M&G on Wednesday.

How do your tits look? If they're not great, I wouldn't show up unprepared.
If they look amazing, and you don't own any tops, hang around the sound camps.
