Gee I've learned a lot today!!! 8)

The sound that people make when they sneeze is dependent on the language and culture of the area.

Deaf people don't verbalize a sneeze!

I saw the classic many years ago when a co-worker sneezed and blew his dentures across the room
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

I'm half photopic, which seems to be inherited.
No idea what that's about.

Funny

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photic_sneeze_reflex
For those unfamiliar, it's sneezing caused by response to light.
I don't get a sneeze, as much as an almost sneeze.
One of my parents had it though.
We never knew what it was until I heard of the syndrome.
They're calling it photic instead of photopic, which is how I first heard it described.

Texas Pastafarian Wins Battle At DMV, Becomes First In U.S. To Wear Colander In License Photo

Castillo told KLBK that the triumphant moment came after a lengthy fight with the state's Department of Public Safety that the unusual headgear was protected as part of his religious beliefs. He worships the Flying Spaghetti Monster, a deity created by an atheist in 2005 in protest of the Kansas School Board's defense of teaching intelligent design. According to its founding principles, "the only dogma allowed in the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is the rejection of dogma."

More illegal border searches

http://news.yahoo.com/details-feds-lapt ... 14959.html

"President Barack Obama and his predecessors have maintained that people crossing into U.S. territory aren't protected by the Fourth Amendment. That policy is intended to allow for intrusive searches that keep drugs, child pornography and other illegal imports out of the country. But it also means the government can target travelers for no reason other than political advocacy if it wants, and obtain electronic documents identifying fellow supporters."

Everyone is so politically fucked up that they're segregating themselves in the name of equal rights and liberation.

IN Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand."— The City's gone,—
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder,—and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.
