Do I have a fake ticket?!!

Hi there, I bought a ticket off someone here on eplaya and I received it in the mail today. When putting it up against my boyfriends ticket, I noticed an indifference. The edges are not perforated and it seems to have been poorly cut. Also, the stub part is not perforated. The ticket has the same shiny parts and even embossing, but I'm still freaking out. I checked the serial # against the BM voided list and it wasn't on there. I don't want to show up at gate and be rejected. I've tried to call BM, but there is no answer and I even sent an email but I'm guessing their overloaded. Does anyone know anything about this? Are any of your tickets like this?

Does the rest of it look identical?
Examine it very closely.

Cutting problems are possible and perforation issues have been mentioned.
Other things should be the same.

The tickets are identical aside from the edges and stub line not being perforated. The paper is the same. Color same. The holographs same. Embossing is also same. It even lines up with small print on back of ticket. I'm really hoping that it printed and didn't get perforated so they had to do it manually, hence the odd cutting job on edges. The guy I purchased from seems legit. We even spoke on the phone and one of the moderators confirmed he's a regular on eplaya. It even came with a survival guided.

Someone at BM finally got back to me via email asking me for the # on ticket. I gave it to them and haven't heard back yet. I will keep you guys updated once I hear back from them. I hope they don't flag the ticket...

If you have any concerns, did they have the purchase letter?
Like buying electronics, those with paperwork are almost always legit.
If the person selling it bought it directly, not much to worry about.

It sounds like a good ticket to me.
Over perforation has happened and no perforations.
Never heard of the cutting issues, but it sounds fine if that's all.
Seems like a good idea to check.
I haven't heard of any fakes that would stand up to really close examination.

Of course, I recently followed two strangers up a dark side road in the woods in the middle of the night to buy a black trailer.
So, maybe I'm not the person to ask.
On the other hand, I have a trailer.

Yes, paper same. Color of print same also.

I mean, if someone wanted to rip me off with a ticket, why bother sending one right? 2 day express with UPS! They could've just kept the paypal money and been done with it. This guy seemed legit and very very nice. I guess with all these warnings about scams and actually having experienced someone asking for wire transfer overseas, I was skeptical.

Used to be rare, but semi-passable fakes have surfaced with higher prices and scalping.
Yours sounds okay so far though.

If the papers the same, the embossing is the same as well as the holographic and stamps I would not worry much. Like Gyre mentioned perforators sometimes are set too shallow or a batch misses the machine. In our old shop each step was a separate machine, for embossing, foil stamping, perforating, printing, etc. In HS I missed entire steps when I would get distracted or go to lunch and forget where the hell I was at.
