early morning coffee

Hello fellow burners! So last year (my 3rd burn) I discovered the magic of the sunrise. Most my camp mates are usually in bed before then so it took me a few years to realize that dancing into the sunrise is one of my favorite things to do on the playa. What I am trying to find out is what time most the camps that offer coffee in the morning start to do their thing. I would love to find a good place to sit down and rest a bit on my early morning trek back to camp, sip on a cup of Joe and share the experiences from the night before with other all nighters. I will be camped around 8:15.

You're right. Sunrise is the best time in BRC. I change my sleep schedule just so I can catch as many sunrises as possible. Words really can't describe the beauty and feeling of dawn on the playa. As for coffee, try Scarbutts, they're usually over near 9:00. If you can't find them there's always center camp, which can be quite interesting at times.

Shit. A magic desert boat serving magic coffee? That's almost as magical as the unexpected midnight grilled cheese sandwich from Dust City Diner.

There's usually bailey's and Kahlua and whiskey in it. But there's enough coffee in there to call it "coffee".

Espressocamp is nearly always fired up around 7 AM early in the week; it typically gets a little later by end of the week, though not a lot. Straight shots only, no foo foo. We will be at about 4:15 and A. Stop on by!

hey! That's actually one of the things I'm doing this year! My bike has a 110v power source and I've got a small electric coffee pot, some mugs, a cleanup station that I'll be bringing out into the open playa. I'll be looking for groups of folks quietly enjoying the sunrise and will pull up and offer beverage services I'll only have caffeinated coffee but I will have a few varieties. I'll have regular sugar and splenda and will do my best to improve some early morning experiences out there.

Oh yeah, and there'll be whiskey while it lasts to make the coffee fancy.
