I'm planning on participating in Burning Man next year. When I was talking to a friend about it, she expressed an interest in going too. Although I would love someone to go with me and I know she would love Burning Man. It's right up her alley, as far as her interests and personality goes. I didn't invite her because, to be totally honest, I don't want to be stuck hanging around camp, because she can't keep up

I asked her if she could ride a bike or trike (she has cerebral palsy, but walks very well on even paved surfaces). I tried explaining that Burning Man covers a large area, and use of a bike/trike greatly increases the amount of things you can see/do. I don't think she gets it. She says she doesn't see the need for a bike/trike. In her mind, everything is really close together.
So, my question is ... how large of an area does Burning Man cover? I know I read it somewhere, but I Googled, and can't find it... I'm likely phrasing my search wrong.
I'm hoping it will help me convince her that if she decides to go, she will need a trike, and to prepare herself physically for the amount of walking, etc.
