Is saran wrapping a DSLR a safe thing to do?

Post by eitan » Fri Aug 23, 2013 7:16 pm

I'm bringing my Canon 40D, and to protect it I've wrapped it with saran wrap.
Is there any additional risk to the camera that I'm introducing by using saran wrap?
For example, is there a chance that the saran wrap will melt?

(I'm aware that there is a chance I won't come back to the default world with my camera. But I'd like to do my best to avoid that.)

Thanks everyone.

Why not a plastic ziplock like everyone else?
