M&G 13, Thank you Doc & Docetts

Post by unjonharley » Tue Sep 03, 2013 10:43 am

Great party.. Met some fine folks..

have figured out why Doc has this party every year.. He is so out of it by party time he forgets it happened.. Not knowing the party happened, he plans another for the next year.. Keep handing hi a drink and we will have parties far into the future..

Was planning on going but had to do a gas run to Gerlach for the generators and got stuck in a 4 hour reentry line because the computers were down... Ugh. Interestingly we gave a ride to a stranded BDV camper in gerlach too so we sort of were there. :D

As usual with me on the playa, I showed up an hour early to the only party I wanted to go to and then never made it back. Sorry I missed you peoples. I left some cranberry juice and vodka so I'm sure there was an inadvertent toast in my honor somewhere during the party.

Maybe next year...

Yes Yes! Thank you Doc and BDV for hosting the MnG!

As usual I was a couple hours late, which I cant understand since I could see the BDC shade from my camp. But anway, some folks were gone but many were still there!
Just like every MnG, I had a great time for the short time I was there!

Tango Yankee Doc, after 7 years of missing M&G, finally made it this year. Was it Elorrum who christened me with wine? Ribs were great, drinks were good and plentiful. I loved the potato dish. The turtle pendant is handsome too, Tatonka. Met many for first time. Even Fishy gave me a hug.

MyLarry got far too tipsy! Good to see you all. So many hugs.

I even converted a non-eplayan into an eplayan. Soon. He thinks you're all wonderful. Hehehe.

I'm glad I swung by, even if I was late. Many thanks to our hosts and organizers!

This year I finally felt "connected". So wonderful to finally meet many of you, I had a blast. I really enjoyed the time there. Many thanks to all that helped put it on.....

Really glad to have made it to the M&G and explain that the eplayan part of me is pure facade. The real me is actually good and kind and thoughtful. Oh, and I found out everyone thinks my name is Lonesomebree, like some squirrely french hippie cheesehead or something..... It's Lonesome Bri. That's a hard "i", like the kind of man I am. I'm glad i could choose the name tag to wear at the M&G that indicated my response most suitably, FY, even though my detractors would have chosen the alternative tag, Douche. Everyone was beautiful and charming and warm and engaging. Thanks.

Thank you, Doc and BDC for the great time.

I met a lot of wonderful people and sadly missed meeting many, too.
Hopefully next year I can remedy that!

Thanks, again!

A big thank you to one and all for a great time at the M&G! Those ribs were amazing and the spread was very impressive this year! Huge thanks to International Incident and to Doc as always for being the gracious and welcoming hosts. Hope to see you all there again next year!

Thank you Doc great party and great absinthe. To everyone who put such a wonderful spread of food thank you also. It was wonderful to meet everyone whose posts I have been reading and who give so much of their time and experience to eplaya. My burn would not have been half as good without you.

Thank you for for hosting the M&G.

For those of you whom may have missed my introduction back in July: this was the tenth year anniversary since my first burn in '03, but my first M&G, so it was really a very special evening for me and one of my favorite memories of this years burn.

Mel was very generous, friendly and kind; she made a great effort to help me, an eplaya unknown, feel welcomed and comfortable and become a part of the gathering. (Thanks Mel, it was a tender kindness that I shall not ever forget.)

Special thanks to Doc for not only sharing some of his absinthe with me, but also reminded me that "Brevity is the soul of wit". He did so in such a classy way that I did not feel the immediate need to join a wit-less protection program. A gracious host indeed and I thank you sir for your kindness. It was a pleasure meeting you.

It was great meeting those of you that I had a chance to talk with. My regret lingers for those I didn't meet.
P.S Yeah, I'm strange, but I am no longer a stranger and yes, if you might be wondering... of course I brought food!
Hugs and kisses, GadMatt

The meet and greet was, once again, one of the very best parts of this year's burn! I wouldn't miss it for anything.
It was great seeing people I'd met before, and meeting more for the first time... we wonder who these crazy ePlayans are, and seldom imagine correctly.

Thanks, Doc and International Incident (and clan) for yet another wonderful gathering!

Ahem.

My son's girlfriend is NOT a squirrely french hippie cheesehead.

She's a squirrely french gothic ghost.
