Good Evening, Bar.
Shots of Yazi, anyone? Ginger is anti-inflammatory.
I've been really @#$%ing sick since Sunday, when I cut out early instead of leaving with my co-pilot. No 3rd visit to BDC, and no time for a Perimeter ridealong with Yggy.
I really wanted to!
Exodus was 6 hours . . . tied with 2011 for my Longest. Could've been worse, but it was really bad when you've just struck camp with a fever and can't swallow even water without weirdly serious pain, and the virgins in the car are having clinical-grade anxiety attacks about the wait and leaving the vehicle to "walk up and see what's going on". (Get back here, fuckers!
I WILL END YOU).
We had to drive 6 more hours after Exodus before we found a motel with vacancies. Thanks to Cedarville for their all night gasoline, caffeine and BBQ.
The second day of driving was better. I've managed to sleep since then, and squeak out an order for Chinese food over the phone, so things could be worse. Still exhausted though. And still sick.
I think I'm going to fly in for my 10th next year, and share an RV for once.

I feel your pain. Too bad I don't care for ginger....ibuprofen anyone?
Cheers!

Hi, Savannah....I can't remember if we got a chance to meet, but I saw you working Tuesday morning with my sister, Martiansky, selling ice. Gorgeous costume, btw.Savannah wrote:Good Evening, Bar.Shots of Yazi, anyone? Ginger is anti-inflammatory.

My sister's bikes were great! We brought a trike and a fat-wheel Beast.
They both did great on the playa.
The trike was nice for frequent stopping.
And the fat wheeled Beast went over the dunes like it was floating...no sinking at all.

So this is where the party after the party goes! Hugs all around!
Where is the wine? No one told me the after burn body was going to be a painful one
Need to rest for a few days, bottle of ibuprofen and white zinfandel should do the trick!
So great to meet everyone! I feel so blessed to have a new family and good friends!
now, no one wake me, I'm sleeping til Saturday!
Cheers!

oh, I want a one month break, and then a do-over. all the stuff I forgot, all the stuff I overcomplicated, I want to fix it now, and just enjoy the way I could do it right.
like that'll ever fucking happen. It's a rough mix, and no polishing. but next year.... next year....

Good morning, Bar!!
Looking forward to a busy day, sorting, cleaning, washing the car, resting....
we're expecting big-time monsoon activity today, which will (hopefully) cool things down a bit. It was so hot yesterday that I didn't leave the house at all, except to collect 2-1/2 weeks of mail. (bills... yuck)
Here's to a very good day for all of us, after a wonderful burn, getting smoothly back into this 'reality'.
Spike that coffee!

Maybe after I get some groceries into the house. Ramen should be a choice and not a necessity.
Of course nothing can be done until I figure out how to dis-attach this cat from my body. (I think he missed us)

--yawn--...
G'Morning... damn... what time is it? WHAT DAY IS IT? Oh hell, I think I overslept the burn!!!
Seriously, good to be back... the year off was STELLAR, but time to get back to the business of being a royal pain in the ass to the philistines and drama queens...
I sure didn't niss the drama, nor do I miss doing the annual gear cleaning, tho!
OK, how about a little Corretto for your morning espresso? Our recommendations:

Have an insane day!!!

oh the dirty gear. The fun part's over, the fun planning's starting.
Get out the hose, spread that dusty stuff all over the lawn.
more and more dust is on the inside of my windshield, and less is on the outside.
Clean it or hide it.
