Lost all my luggage

Post by dioderm » Tue Sep 03, 2013 10:46 pm

As the title states, I lost all my luggage. This might be the wrong place to put this, but I'm not sure where else I should put it. Below is a copy and paste from the email I sent to [email protected]:
My story is that I had lost my return transportation (heh), and so I had found someone who take me and my stuff back to Oakland, CA. Everyone else around me had packed up and left before the temple burn, and I packed up, but not left, before the temple burn. I put all my stuff next to the 5:45 and J post so that it would be easy to find. When we went to retrieve it, about 10:30pm (of course lots of delays), it was all gone.

Now, as much as I'd like to think someone just moved it for various reasons, or took it to lost and found perhaps, I believe it was blatant thievery because the only thing they had left was my MOOP bag.

In the odd event you might be able to help me find it, a list of things that were left there:

- A green tent that was not fully put away as it was all mangled and dusty and I wasn't really worried about its best preservation and more worried about time. It was, as everyone else called it, a "dust catcher".

- A orange/beige sleeping bag.

- A blue 7 gallon water container.

- There was a large blue and purple backpack with all my dusty clothes, several small bags of MOOP, mundane stuff, all my underwear (except one clean in the other bag and one on my bum), notable shirt would be the blue Guadalajara shirt, my only shorts that fit, several other things.

- There was a small black bag with my clean clothes (a blue striped tie, white clean socks, black clean underwear, stained khaki pants, I can't remember what shirt(s)).

In addition between the two bags, there were several things of little monetary value but high sentimental value (all the trinkets I had acquired over the week). The only objects of high value (other than tent, sleeping bag, and water jug) was an iphone charger, there were actually two but one was of the cheap knockoff variety. Oh and I think the only thing the thieves would really be excited about is a five dollar bill in the pocket of the pink shorts. I can provide more description of things I had but not necessarily remember which bag they went in to.

I put my phone, wallet, and keys in to my pockets before leaving it, so really the water jug, tent, etc are the objects of most value.
One item I forgot to mention was the bloody shirt that was a victim of my bloody nose on Wednesday or Thursday in the blue/purple bag.

If anyone has any ideas, or suggestions of people I could contact for assistance (I was told by the people asking for donations to email [email protected]), I would be grateful. But unfortunately I don't expect my stuff back.
