Christopher at Whiskey & Dust on Monday Night

You walked me to Whiskey and Dust when I asked for directions a few camps away. We did shots and you ate the dried shrimp (yuck) at the bar which I'd forgotten all about when we made out in the street later. "I've never had a one night stand" - "Neither have I" we laughed. I wanted you. Bad. But it's my practice to move on. Neither one of us could retain where the other was camping. I said we'd meet again if the playa saw fit. And the wind blew me away and that was that.

I thought of you, Christopher (from maybe from Sacramento?). After all the dancing, and kissing, and adventures with new friends, in the end you were the one I remembered. I wish I'd stopped that night we met. I wish I'd followed you home.
