Taco Bell and Burning Man
This evening I was watching the Dodgers @ Reds baseball game . Around 7:30pm Nevada time, the commercial break from the bottom of the 7th inning to the top of the 8th aired a Taco Bell commercial that starts out with a couple of firefighters talking, a few scenes later there was about 3 seconds or so of the playa with dozens of happy burners.

There's anorexic thread here mentioning that commercial. Though I don't think it was shot on the playa.

Maybe I'm wrong but here's the commercial. like I said, it's only a few seconds of what I'm pretty sure is the playa and BM.

Re: Taco Bell and Burning Man
Ya, sure does look like it. But I don't think it is. One, if it were filmed on the playa--actually at the event--BMORG would have had to given permission and they would have to have paid a fee. Somehow these things are usually published and become common knowledge. Those that don't get permission, like Krug, usually get sued and all the shots and promo stuf gets pulled. It was mentioned that Vogue (I think it was) recently paid a huge sum to BMORG for rights.
Just the fact that nothing has been mentioned officially one way or the other, leads me to believe that wasn't shot on the playa at least not during the event.
But I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

Oh, crafted to look like B-man, and on a playa somewhere, but more MITM than our event.

I saw that a couple of days ago. Hilarious. Definitely a jab at/inspired by Burning Man.
