First timer's perspective
Re: First timer's perspective
I'm planning on taking Caramel to Burn the River (Sacramento). I'd like to connect with some local burners and she wants to see what the big deal is.

Excellent! Hopefully we'll run into you. What's attendance like? I've never been. Were do you park? Doesn't look like a lot of room over there along the river. We're coming up from Modesto by the way.

Parking is abundant and free along the road. Just make sure you are all the way off the roadway. Last year I think there was about 300 to 500 people, a couple mutant vehicles and we had a nice little bonfire. Of course, it was small compared to the man burn but it was still fun. Camping is available on a limited basis.

We'll be camping in a local hotel. One step at a time for my wife. I'll have to get her slowly used to camping in the dust. I have to hook her with the people first.

I'm giving this a nudge over to Experiences At Burning Man, since I think that's a better fit. Glad to hear you had such a great experience, and hope you're able to make it back with your wife sometime soon.
