Tuesday was such a long day. Hobo camped, up at 7:30 to strike Big Bully, deposit stuff in Empire storage (or maybe Gerlach, I dunno). Finally got into a room around 6 p.m. I was very lucky and bumped into Triken, who told me there were some Eplayans at the buffet. Thankfully they were there, because sitting alone in my hotel room, as usually happens, is so depressing.

I got nice and...pleasant during a visit in MDF & Graidawg's room, drinking mead, then had an amazing, just amazing time around the corner at El Cortez.

Wednesday I didn't buy a whole lotta records at the thrift store - somebody had quite the collection of international hits and classics. A few books, vintage red peignoir and records later it was champagne in the room time.

$1.50 for drinks. I'm glad I didn't find that out until later Wednesday...

Thursday morning - Golden Flower, Vietnamese coffee and pho. Got something to-go, for the plane, Wise choice.

But, I did miss seeing people that I knew were *right* there...

We stayed at harrah's and decided to go for a walk and get some pizza, on the way we passed the sands and that shit was going off at the pool. We ate our pizza and headed back, but the music was already off. We did however run into some people we had met and partied with at the burn this year, so we did it again. Next year I'm getting my ass over to that party as soon as I can...looked like fun. Maybe stay on site at the sands.

We definitely had the party room, with a deck larger than the room itself, but I didn't see this thread until it was way too late.

So instead we went downstairs (or even just down the hall) and picked up random strangers to party with. We ended up meeting some absolutely EXCELLENT people this way.

Totally enjoyed every single aspect of the Sands. Thanks again to Doc for making this happen!!!

Another very cool thing is, we had the room right next door, also with a huge deck, and an easily jumped barrier, so it was like having a HUGE deck available for partying. Seemed the 'neighbours' were all OK with joining us...
It would be a good idea to have some way to let people (like ePlayans) know this was available.
