The Israelis seem to love BDC. Except for two. They came over where we were sitting in the couch and introduced themselves. When they said they were from Israel I gave a little smirk or something. We had just been talking about Israel. They got all indignant and vocal about Americans against Israel despite my assurances that I'm a member of the tribe.TomServo wrote:My "line crossing" attire..

Finally I smiled and said, "Welcome to Barbie Death Camp. Have you seen our holocaust?" They turned around and went speechless. Spectacular for me as I usually can't come up with comebacks on the spot.
Also keeping with the theme of the thread:

Apparently I had enough alcohol at the M&G that I forgot to duck when pictures were being taken.

In other words, the ones who likely had the most anxiety on the subject... If it's true that humor is a release of anxiety (or at least can be) then, not funny at all. Funny odd, not funny ha-ha.TomServo wrote:My "line crossing" attire..

It's a little disturbing how Germans and Israelis can find this funny...but perhaps it was all in the context. I'll chalk this down as a "should have been there" moment. This jacket was carefully crafted, by yours truly. In other words, the ones who likely had the most anxiety on the subject...
