As for my camp's racial diversity, there's only two of us, they are young and spry, while I am old and feeble;
that about covers the two diverse extremes in whatever race we run.

oh. Dear. God. This has been my favorite thread EVER! Doc Pyro (who is anything but a racist) having the guts to take the piss out the whole thing, Simon and his legion of socks reached a transcendental level of comedy and trenchant insight (I 've been dying to use the phrase for years) and Littlebird's wonderful reply to a clearly over-educated wanker! Ahhh, restored my faith in humanity.

Now, I'm dying to know if Littlebird made it out to the playa and if so, what was her experiences? Can you give us a report?

Our camp has had exactly one black person, Cobalt, who tended bar with me in 2010 and was one of the coolest people I ever met. For me, diversity of thought and life experiences counts so much more than diversity of pigmentation. (I realize our society causes or can cause different experiences based on pigmentation) but for one week, aint it grand that we all can just be united freaks?

Hey I was just suggesting that she camp at Savannah and mines camp just so I could finally say hello. Now if you want to roll up with your nude bicycle guru, and do yoga off of tall bikes to impress the ladies that's fine with me. However if ygmir's little sumo show convinces her to take the black and dive into the hole, then so be it. I'll still have a better chance to say hello than this year. *chuckles*

I'm incredibly flattered that you guys would want me to camp with you! It makes me feel awesome. Thanks!

However, I really liked the camp I was with this year aside from one sparkle pony who was an attention whore to the point that if you didn't shower her with attention, she gave you the cold shoulder. I'm pretty sure that she initially thought I was going after some dude in the camp that she had her eye on, which I totally wasn't. She and the dude eventually started fucking. Anyway, guess which person she is in the picture below?

She seemed to be threatened by and was (very subtly) disdainful toward women who did not compliment her often. For some strange reason there was only one woman in the camp who didn't do this: me. The other women were incredibly cool, so I just don't get why the sparkle pony didn't annoy the fuck out of them. I felt sort of bad that I couldn't get myself to be more accepting of her. If these other wonderful women could, why couldn't I? I'm guess I'm just an intolerant bitch. Oh well!

Aside from that, the people in my camp were awesome. I know you guys are awesome too! So we should visit each other next year. Or maybe I'll aqctually get my ass over to the meet and greet. I'm bummed that I missed it. I actually swung by Barbie Death Camp the next day, but the only person around was Doc Pyro. I hope to meet more of you guys next year.
