First time burner from Australia; mind == blown

Post by joeyc » Wed Sep 18, 2013 1:40 am

Hi all!

2013 was my first burn and I had a great time. As you all probably know, it's difficult to do the experience justice in words and pictures but I was just amazed at the whole thing! The art, the people, the fire! Amazing. I think my brain is still processing the experience almost a month later (yeah, time flies).

I am suffering some post-playa blues, I even thought about not washing some of my clothes so I still have some of the desert (and stale BO) with me. If any of you live in Sydney, Australia and want to catch up and chat, that would be great :)

Fucking amazed,
Joey

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Aussies wash clothes? Just kidding...I know the feeling. Just bag a few choice items and take them out a couple of times a year and breathe in the dust...ahhhhhhhh!
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.

You know there's a regional Burn in Australia called Burning Seed. Maybe you should look into it.

Find your regional group (on main BMan webpage) and burn some things, make a burn barrel and use it!!....create some stuff, art etc, techie junk and most importantly make new exciting friends.

Congrats on losing your burnginity...tee hee...
I'm the MAN in a truck, burner who is stuck, you're in luck! I'll whip out my BIG tow chain and not charge you, not even one lousy buck!

After three years my mind is still blown. It just keeps getting better!

Mmmmmm I love the smell of Burning Man - Token

Getting overly dramatic about the ticket sale process is so 2012. - Maladroit
