Black Schwinn beach cruiser, Locked! Laser. at temple burn

My black Schwinn beach cruiser, white basket, with a laser projector in the basket, though locked, appears to have been removed during the temple burn. Any other reports of this happening at the temple burn?

Went back the next morning, checked lost/found, filled out online forms at lost/found.

Lots of people liked it at lot.
3rd bike lost to the playa ver the years. First one taken that was locked.

Presume you didn't park it too close to the perimeter?
Routine to drag those out of the way.

Seems unusual to have a bike stolen so late.

It was about 30 ft behind the outer art car circle. Adjacent to 6:00 street.
Some other bikes in the region appeared to be near. Though hard to tell.
Did a Spiral search that night a few times with a companion. Did a multi hour search the next morning.

I didn't know if the theft rings were back in action of yesteryear, but I'd expect they nabbed it due to the laser. I had 3 separate known attempts of people trying to steal the laser and some were just attracted to it and raided the basket contents. Had at least one case where someone tried to run off with it but abandoned it locked.

I left the laser on since its pretty, fun and makes it very easy to find.

Anyway, hope its recoverable.

Awww man, that stinks! I remember seeing your bike during the week and we all really enjoyed your impromptu laser show. I hope it comes back to you.
