*wanders in, starts ECM, fills NEKKID*

Thanks Marty and Trilo.
yeah, that drive down I5 is pure monotony.....I may take 101 from now on, even though it's an hour longer.

Gotta start thinking of getting the work needed, done before the snow flies at the Hof.......and hoping for a party, though that seems to be fading with the cold......we'll see how things hold up weather wise I guess.

Well, TGIF!!!

Speaking of I5 monotony, woohoo it's Friday and time for our big road trip. We're going down to LA tonight to see Depeche Mode at the Staples Center tomorrow night. They played in the bay area last night, but the venue sucked and this is one of those towns where the band phones it in, whereas in LA they've got a massive following and their performances are over the top. It should be a great 'first show' for Pandorra - she's been a fan of the band for years, but for one reason or another never managed to see in concert (whereas I've seen 'em dozens of times over the years). I'm really digging their latest record, too, and am really looking forward to seeing and hearing the songs played live.

The 5 is bleak, but taking the 101 adds a couple additional hours each way to our trek. Since we're heading down tonight, we'll probably opt for the shorter route. If we've got the time coming home we may opt for the scenic route, we'll see how it goes on the day.

Meanwhile... need caffeine! :coffee: Lots to try and do today, I've got to get moving and make the most of the kitten's down time. :)

ok, gross observation of the day:

I cooked a pork roast and as I was slicing the nicely browned, crunchy fat covered slices, I noted they looked just like scabs from when I'd wreck on my bike and get road rash as a kid........
I was so conflicted, savoring and reveling in the crunchy, fatty garlic saltiness , and thinking of that slab as a scab from my leg wound........I can't reconcile, someone help me.

Make a sandwich with some slices of the roast, so that you can't see the slices well.

You need to get hungry. As hungry as you can possibly be. Do or take whatever you need to get there.

Eat the sandwich.

If the sandwich is made well, some bits of the roast will fall out the side. Eat with your fingers.

Repeat as necessary.

Or just overnight the roast to me. I'll eat it.

EST didn't work on me when my cousins did it in the basement, and the docs were afraid to use more power than the cousins tried, so, I'm guessing I'm just out of luck there............
