The weather up here sucks, very windy wet and rainy.
And I gotta go to the dentist today and spend a few hours not having fun.

How many days 'til the man burns? A million?

No worries Captain -- the Man burns in only 334 days!

Oh... yeah... Good Morning!

Only the slightest drizzle here.

Good morning, Everybody!

Glad you didn't lose power, EDude, and hopefully that's a rarity for you during the wetter and colder months.

Our trip ended up getting shortened, instead of the hoped-for Friday-Monday jaunt it wound up being just a Saturday-Sunday runner. Some work stuff came up for the girl, and the extra time just wasn't an option. They gave her all the time she wanted for Burning Man even though things were in 'all hands on deck' mode, so we adjusted our plans so she could support the team, it all balances out. The concert was on Saturday night (and was great). We ended up staying at a little place in Venice, and the weather couldn't have been better.

The man burns in 334 days, Captain, so 328 til the gates. It feels like a long time, but in no time we'll be at the burnal equinox...

Good morning, everyone!
Looks like a lot of people on here right now........

Yggy, how are you feeling today? You "sound" a bit less under the weather. Thanks for the fire. Nice here today albeit a little breezy.

Trilo, Depeche Mode?! AWESOME!!!
Is there an exact date for the burnal equinox?

Unjon, hope you're staying above the waterline!

Capt, dentist trips are never fun.....Hope all goes well.

ED, thanks for the :coffee:

Went to breakfast with my sister, Mohairs at a local place thats almost all organic, very good meal.
They have a big fish tank with a Pacu fish thats big enough to make it on an episode of River Monsters!
Apparently the owner is considering pacu fish for fish farming as an alternative to tilapia.
Interesting concept but......has anyone seen the episode of River Monsters about the pacu and how they were "introduced" into a river for local people to catch and eat(apparently there weren't enough fish there already?) and that went south and the assumingly vegetarian pacu began biting people?!
I know they will supposed be IN stock tanks but.......???

Ok then.....Well on that note, Im off to mow some grass while the weather in nice!

Good day all!
So the theme this year is like a giant camp out in the desert? With people bringing lots of shit from all over? uh.. -Marscrumbs

I can do that on my head. If fact I think I will.

Actually, (when someone says 'actually' it means they are getting ready to lie), I'll spend every minute getting ready and thinking up ways to contribute more. I'm planning a crossing guard costume to use at busy intersections. I can combine it with my random candy delivery. 334 days may not be enough time for all the plans we make.

Good morning, all!
Sounds like a soggy day for some of you. I hope you can all stay warm and dry!

Martiansky... mowing... wheeee! That's something very few people here do, since it takes too much water to keep a real lawn. Alot of yards are pinkish or beige gravel, with cacti and other low-water-needs plants, or yards just left to their natural growth.

I have the day off, so will be prepping a few details for our 4 day Decom, coming up in less than 2 weeks.

Yggy, I hope you're feeling better! ((((Yggy))))

334 days? 328 to gate??!!
Yikes! I'd better get BUSY!!!

Ha! "Actually" is actually one of my crutch words, along with "just". I use them too much.
And I just can't seem to write anything without using them.

Morning all!

I managed to make it into the office (60 mile trip, because there is clearly something wrong with me) without floating away down I-5. The trip back in to Seattle tonight should be interesting. *bundles under blankets and looks for something to spike her coffee with*

Capt. G., Another sign that a lie is coming is, "Truthfully" or "To tell the truth". (What. You usually lie?) You hear it often with salesmen.

I agree- "truthfully"="take what I'm saying with a big old grain of salt"

Though, I will say, in my experience, "actually" frequently precedes a true statement, just one presented as snarkily as possible.

Take care and rest, VC. Huggles.

Larry was very sick when he was home, unusual for him. My neighbors are all sick. It seems to be all over the states. So far, I'm good. Ha.

I'd also like to prescribe ridiculous amounts of booze. Get those germs of yours drunk, and let your immune system have their way with the little buggers!

Come to think of it, I think I should prescribe the same for myself. I'm not currently sick, but you can never be too careful...
