Get a proper fitting tube sock
Attach tutu material around the top
Don à la Red Hot Chili Peppers.



Might even protect you some from the :Clap: that's been seen floating around.

Elliot . . . . I've seen camo tulle fabric at the military surplus store. Black/tan/green. Just saying.

I don't think they call it tulle there; you'll have to ask for netting.

I have some of my own but it's too pretty to cut, so I just make a bustle/pannier type deal out of it.

I telephoned a friend who does a bit of sewing, but she said she barely knows what a tutu is, and is too busy with work and family right now -- kids starting school etc -- to figure it out in time. So I accept your offer! I hope it's a ten minute job, assuming you already know how.
And yes, the camo on the baby would work nicely. Dark green or black as on Utili-kilts would be good.

Hey Elliot, did you ever get that tutu? I just discovered this old thread. I would love to make one for you. There are several kinds of manly tutus. All of mine are made on belts. They can be strips of faux fur, t-shirt, fleece, faux leather, or tule. You know what the tule ones look like. The others all hang straight down and swing when you walk. Or...I have about 500 neckties. I could gather up about 25 or 30 of the same color and make you a short or medium length gladiators skirt/tutu.
If you would like one, or something else just let me know. I have about 310 days to sew and craft.
