Are you implying this particular thread or just in general? For the latter case, you need to obtain copyright from the original authors -- some of the images may not even be owned by the posters. Actually, that latter point goes for anything that is posted, in this thread or not.

Permission of the original photographer is needed to use a specific photo, for general copyright reasons.

Specific to Burning Man, any video must be for personal use--friends, family--not for commercial use, unless one has written permission from Burning Man. The permission of the person photographed (if they are not the photographer) is also a requirement for commercial use.

If only shown to friends/family, verbal permission of the subject is needed, especially if the person is recognizable.

What Savannah said. Nobody here can give you blanket permission to use peoples' images. You'd need to contact the photographer behind each photo. You'd probably also need to contact the subject of the photo (when they granted the photographer permission on the playa, it was only for limited personal use). And then of course, if the video you're making ends up being something intended for anything more than your own personal use (ie you were planning on showing it publicly, getting it aired on TV, etc), you'd need permission from Burning Man as well.

I wanted to post the people at the Meet and Greet , since I forgot to take any there. I plan on useing the ones my friend took mostly , I did take a few . So everyone that had there pic taken at the
M&G should I PM them for permission and then the taker of the pic? It will not be forsale just want to show my kids in VA what I was doing.
