*wanders in, makes CCC*
yeah, we're dealing remotely with this, being 500 miles away.
The condo is only 2 years old, and no neighbors are reporting bugs (property mgr. asked). They think only a few came in on the one kids luggage, since he had stayed in some hotels for the week or so before moving in.
But jeebus!! 600 bucks to treat one room, 2K for the whole place!! criminy!! One room is chemical, twice. Whole house is "heat" treatment, where they raise the temp inside to 140 degrees all day, and periodically go in and turn mattresses, fluff clothing and closets and stuff, to get rid of "cool pockets". They of course suggest the whole house treatment.
dang this crap!! Big cities and humans..............
I guess warm climates like L.A. are becoming infested, and the research I've done suggests it's not going away.......I guess back to beds in cans of kerosene? I know that worked "back when", since they really only feed of sleeping people, and tend to live within 6' of a bed.
crap...........
