Break in the weather good.. Six men putting on a new (flame down) roof.. We have open beam,cedar board, four inch blown foam, sound board, flame down under mat and flamed down surface.. Should be warm and dry for twenty years.. So guess I will have to live in a nursing home the last five I plan to be going to Burning Man..Going for 104

Finally ended the annual B'day celebration of checking in with all my close ones to re-consider my way
For example, I am knee challenged and turn in, so I am moving turn out to see if that is better. It is better than a replacement I think.

Love the weather here today. The Bay is mirror clear between Tiburon and Belvedere.
However, I am definitely wearing two sweaters.

Morning all!

It's definitely a good day for coffee here-I actually had to wait for my car to defrost this morning and I'm still tired from this weekend's tally of 5 costume changes, 3 panels on costuming presented, an unknown quantity of run consumed, and about 4 hours total of sleep. Though I did get the very genuine compliment that I inspired someone who had been really intimidated by sewing to make things, so that was a nice bonus at the end of it all.

Back to work with me, I guess.

Brilliant card/video, Figjam!

Yesterday was busy, but productive. I finished up some changes and upgrades in how backups are stored and managed, and then successfully upgraded the network. I even got the chance to finally post about the ziggurat on my behance page. Today, assuming stuff gets delivered on time I'll be busy installing and setting up a new machine for Pandorra. Hopefully I'll also get some time to get over and take some pics and maybe some video from the Burn2 event, I've got til the end of the week to do that before people start taking things down. Other than there's cleaning and laundry, and trying not to eat all the halloween candy before halloween

I would Fishy, were it him.
But, he's a man of great integrity. "working Joe" who gets called in by the Union when things get "tight".
I'm not a Union sympathizer, yet, he makes great arguments, and is just a super person. So much so, that, I have moderated my attitude towards unions, in general. I just wish, both sides, could clone him.

ETA: Interesting, Fishy, though I'm older than you, you are dating yourself, in holding "six figures" as some sort of huge salary. Yeah, it's a lot (way more than I make), but seems, especially in the Bay area, not super huge. "Way back when" six figures was down right rich!!

My only plans tomorrow is to wake up, dress in my SparklePony costume and do errands. I have a f2f with an old skool burner locally (first time meeting).

I have a recommendation to the listening audience: wake up tomorrow, put on your Halloween costume, and go about your daily business. Unless there's a dress-code werk violation, who the fuck's going to care! It's fucking Halloween! Go have fun. It's nice to be in a otherwise grown-up situation in full regalia. Go for it!
Ok, I'll say it out loud. If your costume is less than G-ish rated, think twice. Think about what you are presenting yourself to the whirled.
Call me a prude. There are ways to be sexy w/o being a skank.

Gonzo and I were at the ass end of Raiders in the newly phoenixed Terminal City, so yes, we were in the same village w the tits.
I got to talk to Nick about the fabric of said boobies, and I'm lobbying to keep the screen-like fabric although it lets some dust in. I've seen the apocalyptic horror of staid fabric in a hard dirt storm. Compromises.

I truly hope you make it out next year. You are one helluva great volunteer!

Hey all, just wanted to say Hi, and that I am over here with my invisibility cloak on. I don't seem to feel like I have much to offer in the form of "chat", but I lurk. I live a fairly "solitary" life a lot over here, and really miss BM. I am comforted often by dropping in and reading a while....like I am among friends. Thank you all. You help more than you know.
