Fuck. Chair died two blocks from work. I was able to get a push to the office and I have a junker push chair, so I'm okay for the moment. I do not know what I will do to get home and get this fixed.

Or a old one for cheap.. The listed one batteries are mostly gone.. But over time you could end up with a spare..
We were lucky.. I scored a good chair (less batteries) for free.. Then the VA finely shit out a new one.. He uses the old one to garden,and cross the yard to the van.. He has been walking about a half block per day using a shopping cart.. He is still a burner.

Fuck, I have had a migraine since Tuesday and it's showing no sign of going away. I'm lucky I have had remote work days the last two days, but tomorrow I get to drive to a meeting three hours away to discuss a big (and politically messy project). Even with the drugs that make me sleepy in my system, I only managed about an hour's sleep last night. Ugh. I have things to do today but lifting my head is a bad, bad thing right now.

One of my close friends from home got a hold of me this morning. Her fourteen-year-old daughter shot herself in the head last night. Now, Chloe (the daughter) is brain dead in ICU and my friend is a mess. I will be flying home on Thursday to be there for her.
I am at a complete fucking loss. All I can fucking think of is how devastated my friend is and that I can't do anything to fucking fix it. There is nothing I can say to make this okay. All I can do is be there.
Fuck.

Just fuck. I fly up Thursday. I can't even be a little bit happy about going home when it's for something this fucked up. I just want to hug my friend and hug my kids... I can't seem to stop crying. I want to scream and yell, but more than anything, I want it to not be true.
But it is.
They were supposed to do the apnea test 45 minutes ago, and the transplant team is standing by. My friend Jamayca (the mom) hasn't slept in over forty hours. I am hoping that once Chloe is actually gone, Jamayca will be able to sleep and grieve. My heart is absolutely breaking for her family and for Chloe. I want so badly to understand... I don't know that I ever will.
