So, I see that Honorable Richard A. Wagner of Nevada's 6th Judicial District may not be entirely level-headed, having drawn the ire of the Nevada Supreme Court over a matter apparently unrelated to BM. But what has he done to harm nekkid burners?

Elliot - the Hon Judge Dick is a major force in the county that was pushing a "morality clause" for events held within the county - have to abide by Lovelock community standards, not BRC, possibly no minors, etc. Basically, he's a "shove my religion down your throat" kind of Dick.

Oh, that thread. Yes, so wonderful ... the only people who should be naked are the pretty people. But it begs the question, who is going to do the hours of really bad retouching to make people look like the misshapen mannequins in the throw-away grocery store magazines?

Maybe that can be some sort of burner art thing.

But one thing that does irk me, is the suggestion or implication that if I choose not to be naked in public, BM or default, that I'm somehow not expressing myself to the fullest/limiting my freedom/conforming to the norm/afraid of others judging me/embarrassed/ashamed of my body/a prude.

Just in case I did not express myself clearly: I back you 100%. NOBODY tells anybody how to dress (or not dress). I might joke about it, since I go naked a lot myself, but it would be entirely in a friendly / tongue-in-cheek / you-may-notice-it-is-myself-I'm-making-fun-of / I-think-you-know-me-better-than-to-take-me-seriously spirit.

Come to think of it... we have a running gag here on ePlaya: Sometimes we tell somebody "Show us your tits". That's a somewhat self-deprecating joke. It is a reminder that some men on this planet are actually so crude as to say that and mean it, which reflects poorly on all men. So we feel that here on ePlaya we all know each other well enough (or soon will) to make such a joke in the knowledge, or at least expectation, that nobody will take offense.
In fact, if I ever say "show us your tits" to a lady on ePlaya, it would constitute a statement of respect.

I should note that I only read the beginning of this thread where people were discussing discomfort of seeing a man walk around with an unintended erection. A lot of people say they would be uncomfortable going to BM because of the nudity. Seems like most on here just tell these people that after a day or two you don't notice anymore. That's all I was getting at. Desensitization.

My only issue with nudity is where one puts their nether parts. Some guy got real pissed at me last year when I asked him to put something down before he sat on our piano bench. I thought that was common courtesy.

I think I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger on this thread, I think it's gone well past the 'beating a dead horse' phase. It was a troll-bait thread started years ago by an individual who has long since been banned from the board (for other reasons).
