I don't really make a marinara, mine's more of a general red sauce with no herbs beyond bay leaf, but a ton of mushrooms, onion, olives, & a healthy dash of red wine and cayenne (and, of course, tomatoes & tomato paste)

I consider red sauce an abomination, as I cannot have it, yet I crave it.

TPBM can't taste the difference between herbs, as all they have in their cupboard is sad, dry green stuff in Spice Island bottles.

Tofu is a blank slate - it's the other ingredients (or a marinade) that give it flavor. So, depending on what dish it's in, yes, I do like it. However, just a raw slab of it - *yech*.

I like to grow stuff and do ok but I wouldn't say I have a green thumb. My brother got that.

TPBM can usually tell what is wrong with a car by listening to it. but does not like to work on them.
