Is Your ADD acting up again?

Post by Ratty » Mon Nov 25, 2013 7:38 pm

Exactly how many projects can you juggle? Right now on the upstairs couch there are...

felt flowers being assembled

tri-angles of green leather being hand sewn together

200 post cards getting sold on Ebay.

Downstairs there is...

a box of lanyards going to be a tutu

a bowl of cut up CDs to glue to a helmet

a singing and dancing Hank Williams Jr ready to become a burner

3 paintings in need of touch-up for the wayward art

And yesterday I decided I had to make a vest out of paper clips and aluminum tape. (It's going to be magnificent).

The rest of the house is also full of stuff and projects. I know other people live like this but sometimes I feel outside the norm when it comes to the condition of my house.

I can top that ridiculously small workload just with cars ('55 Chevy getting new clutch, flywheel, transmission, brakes, a power steering setup, wiring, and other stuff; '79 Trans Am getting literally everything) and trucks… not to mention the rental house remodel (which I've successfully handed off to a renter in exchange for letting him live in it while doing the work, for cheap)… or the Burning Man stuff…

Ratty: with all that stuff laying out, I think you need a puppy. :)

250 clips. The only challenge was to get them to lie down flat. I'm NOT ocd. I don't care about details.

Love the body necklace, Ratty!

Every time I see one on a mannequin I want one, but am offended by the price because I know I could make one (and would prefer my own handiwork). Then, of course, I don't get around to it.

But this year, I swear . . . .

Yeah, but do you want to be there every time she puts it on or takes it off?

Oooh, I love it Ratty!
The current list of ongoing projects: working on 10-ish necklaces for the women on my holiday gift list, stuffed animals for my niece and nephew, dyeing a scarf for my mom. I have a bunch of vegetables I need to get prepped up to store for quick meals and have a pie to bake for Thursday, along with a couple meals for a friend who just had her first baby. And I have a corset, dress, and over jacket for a white/winter themed event I am going to next week, and a big cloak for a photoshoot. Ooh, and I just decided on a lighted headpiece for that, so I need to gather the bits. And I have an early 1920s kinda dress I want to finish for holiday parties. But first I have to escape from work for the long weekend. And drag myself away from my ongoing diet of terrible scifi movies on streaming.

That's so cool… the First Mate has been getting into the '20s - '30's, maybe '40s look and it rocks.
