Offer claimed: my camp, all of it

Post by Zap » Sun Dec 01, 2013 10:42 pm

My camp broke up. I'm not going back for a long time and want to gift the infrastructure to a camp that can use it.

There's a lot of good stuff here. All of it has survived trips to the Playa over the past few years. It should keep going back. 8-)

SF Bay area (Campbell); local pick up only. Bring a truck to storage to pick it up and I'll help load. I'm very short on time and hoping this stuff just goes away with minimal hassle. PM me and we'll make arrangements.

1. Shelter Systems Playa Dome, 18'
- large metal stakes, shade cloth, spare tubes
- bin with tools, tape, clamps, rope
- Good community space

2. Costo Carport 10'x20'

3. 4 folding Chairs and 2 camping recliners

4. Tools and Rebar
- various sizes
- bucket of tennis balls for rebar caps.
- Baby sledge hammers
- Rope
- High temperature duct tape (survives playa)
- Vice grips for pulling rebar.
- Wrecking bar

5. Tarps, and packing blankets

6. Two playa bikes
- both could use TLC, one had a pedal that keeps coming off

7. 5 day medium sized cooler with a handle and wheels.
- It works well for walking around and giving out beer.

8. Two Coleman 5 day coolers
- Couple of rolls of reflectix and foil tape that I was using to make
insulator bags for the coolers.

9. Kitchen bin
- Camp stove
- Propane canisters
- Lighters and matches
- Plates, cups, etc...

SAY WHAT?! PLAYA DOME! I live in Sacramento and I'd happily make the trek to the bay to adopt it and give it a new loving home! I'll send you a PM with my contact info. Fingers crossed!

Woah.. Playa dome! Wish I lived a little closer.. probably not economical to make the drive from Calgary.

Kudos on your gifting.

I'm sorry to hear about your camp. I hope your time away from ttitd is rewarding and you come back sooner than anticipated.

Yea - I'd like to make it back to the Playa some year - we'll see how it goes. 8-)

There's a couple of people I'm PM'ing so I'm going to tentatively say the whole pile is spoken for. Will follow back up if that changes.

Cheers!

Zap, thank you for an amazing gift to a lucky camp. I'm going to lock this thread so you don't continue to get replies, if for some reason none of the PM's work out, you can just let any Moderator (trilobyte, AntiM, Savannah, Sham, MDMF007, & myself) know & we'll re-open the thread.
