More frost on the roof tops this morning. Nowhere as bad as whats going on elsewhere, but I sure do long for the heat of the Playa, dust and all! But, the sun is shining and it's sure to warm up a bit today and in the next few days. Guess we're spoiled, weather-wise out here.((((All))))

Most incredible day in a long, long time yesterday.

The lake froze to a very solid and safe 6inches affording us miles upon miles of freedom to skate.

There was plenty of flapping of ''wings''. One doesn't often get the opportunity for such freedom on blades....

Delle, do you remember going out on the ice to the middle of the lake, all holding hands in a circle and gently bobbing up and down until the ice started cracking? The sound was absolutely other-worldly!

It's funny. There's a video going around about ice-drumming on Facebook. Someplace in the northern sea (I'm supposing) where the floes create amazing huge chunks of ice, each with it's own tone. The music potential was amazing.

I did find one spot right after the first point towards Blueberry Beach where such a phenomenon had occurred. The shards were unfortunately too fragile for much good music, but I sure did have a good time flabbergasting my non-facebook friends as they wondered what the fuck I was playing at there.......

Ice!!! Most of the ice around here is at the edges of the sidewalks now, or falling off the trees in messy globs. No hazard to pedestrians at all.

You live in such a beautiful place Delle, a perfect completement to your beauty.
