sam, that was fucking funny....

the sky is falling

the sky is falling

The Story of Chicken Little

"Chicken Little" is a story for teaching courage.
Don't be a chicken little.
Don't be afraid.
The sky is not falling.

Characters

Narrator
Chicken Little
Henny Penny
Ducky Lucky
Goosey Loosey
Turkey Lurkey
Villain: Foxy Loxy
Narrator: Chicken Little was in the woods one day when an acorn fell on her head. It scared her so much she trembled all over. She shook so hard, half her feathers fell out.

Chicken Little: "Help! Help! The sky is falling! I have to go tell the king!"

Narrator: So she ran in great fright to tell the king. Along the way she met Henny Penny.

Henny Penny: "Where are you going, Chicken Little?"

Chicken Little: "Oh, help! The sky is falling!"

Henny Penny: "How do you know?"

Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head!"

Henny Penny: "This is terrible, just terrible! We'd better hurry up."

Narrator: So they both ran away as fast as they could. Soon they met Ducky Lucky.

Ducky Lucky: "Where are you going, Chicken Little and Henny Penny?"

Chicken Little & Henny Penny: "The sky is falling! The sky is falling! We're going to tell the king!"

Ducky Lucky: "How do you know?"

Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head."

Ducky Lucky: "Oh dear, oh dear! We'd better run!"

Narrator: So they all ran down the road as fast as they could. Soon they met Goosey Loosey walking down the roadside.

Goosey Loosey "Hello there. Where are you all going in such a hurry?"

Chicken Little: "We're running for our lives!"

Henny Penny: "The sky is falling!"

Ducky Lucky: "And we're running to tell the king!"

Goosey Loosey: "How do you know the sky is falling?"

Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head!"

Goosey Loosey: "Goodness! Then I'd better run with you."

Narrator: And they all ran in great fright across a field. Before long they met Turkey Lurkey strutting back and forth..

Turkey Lurkey: "Hello there, Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, and Goosey Loosey. Where are you all going in such a hurry?"

Chicken Little: "Help! Help!"

Henny Penny: "We're running for our lives!"

Ducky Lucky: "The sky is falling!"

Goosey Loosey: "And we're running to tell the king!"

Turkey Lurkey: "How do you know the sky is falling?"

Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head!"

Turkey Lurkey: "Oh dear! I always suspected the sky would fall someday. I'd better run with you."

Narrator: So they ran with all their might, until they met Foxy Loxy.

Foxy Loxy: "Well, well. Where are you rushing on such a fine day?"

Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Goosey Loosey, Turkey Lurkey (together) "Help! Help!" It's not a fine day at all. The sky is falling, and we're running to tell the king!"

Foxy Loxy: "How do you know the sky is falling?"

Chicken Little: "I saw it with my own eyes, and heard it with my own ears, and part of it fell on my head!"

Foxy Loxy: "I see. Well then, follow me, and I'll show you the way to the king."

Narrator: So Foxy Loxy led Chicken Little, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Goosey Loosey, and Turkey Lurkey across a field and through the woods. He led them straight to his den, and they never saw the king to tell him that the sky is falling.

FUCK

I feel like such a fool

I had so much hope

perhaps it's time to wake up and realize that most of this country just does not feel the way I do. Beyond the presidential race, look at all the gay marriage bans that passed. Roe will be history with this term as well.

this morning I woke to my wife looking for work in Vancouver.

Hernia Focus: Inguinal

Hernia operations are among the most common surgical procedures performed today. In fact about 750,000 hernia repairs are performed annually. Although these hernias are most frequent in men, women comprise about 10 percent of the patient population.

Most hernias result from a tear in the deep lining, or fascia, beneath the abdominal muscles in the groin region. Once this "safety net" is torn, the intestines break through the overlying muscle layers pushing up to the skin surface, giving the characteristic bulge. In many cases, this process begins at birth and is an inherited condition affecting people of all age groups, from infants to seniors. Signs and symptoms that can be associated with inguinal hernias include pain, pressure, burning, bulging in the groin, and enlargement of the scrotum. However, many patients present only with fullness or bulging in the groin without any symptoms at all.

Traditional methods of hernia repair typically require a general anesthetic, a four to six week painful recovery and are associated with failure rates as high as twenty to twenty five percent. Unfortunately once a hernia repair has failed, subsequent surgical repairs have much higher failure rates. More recently, laproscopic (keyhole) hernia surgery has been popularized as a great advancement in the repair of hernias. However, major drawbacks of this method include the need for a general anesthetic, insertion of catheters in the bladder and stomach, and failure rates in the vicinity of six to fifteen percent. Most important of all, this technique needlessly exposes the patient to countless life threatening catastrophic complications that no other method of repair does. Many centers have now abandoned the laproscopic approach for inguinal hernias.

My fuck is not in anger, just in general madness. I feel like I am going mad because I have let people into my world and they have turned it upside down but only in the best of ways. The thing is they do not know they are driving me mad.

Thank you though Sam. Oh and if you did not know Sam our live act is playing on Sunday from 10-11p at the Ohm.

Fucking America - gotta love it.

Post by tonytohono » Wed Nov 03, 2004 6:10 pm

You know, I am not happy with the results of our election, but the people have spoken and everything is going to be as it will be. So what if our general rights are stripped away gradually, day by day, layer by layer… so what if my nephew, and possibly my niece end up in Iraq, or Iran, or even Korea. Whether I like it or not I'll have to learn to live with it. May as well be sooner than later.

You Bush supporters out there can start crying when Bush and his cronies decide that this here Burning Man thing is something that deserves a closer look. Remember, that man thinks of himself as the right hand of God, and I seriously doubt Bush is going to like hearing about a bunch of naked freaks out in the desert idolizing an 80 foot man. My god if that is not pure sacrilege. That sounds just like the fatted calf story to me. I guarantee it would scare the bejesus out of any god-fearing Christian out there.

Think about it.

Nothing like Fucking America.

If you watched...Henry Reid is being tapped as the early favourite to be Senate Minority Leader. We're not on our own.

You know what I'm doing? Indulging myself in a spate of disappointment today — that's only natural, considering how much effort was invested and having next to nothing to show for it when it came down to it — and tomorrow I'm going to gird the ol' loins and get active again. We got our work cut out for us over the next four years, and the good news is we won't have to do it forever, just the next four years.

Don't give the rascal an inch of breathing space and make sure the breathing space he has is as hot as Ground Zero. He wants to be President? Sure. He's got it.

And Ev-RY-Fuck-Ing-Thing that comes with it

A good fuck here:
I have to wake at 5am to be at the lumber yard at 6am, pick up lumber and hardwear, bring it all to school, demonstrate to classmates how not to kill themselves with powertools around 7:30am, set up a jig for building identical pieces to a full scale model/art installation we are setting up at school, show classmates how to build said pieces, move on to the climax piece building with other portion of classmates working with and supervising them, get the fuck out around 11am, go for a nice long mountain bike ride, go to work around 3pm, leave work around 7pm, have a couple of drinks with friends, get home around 10pm, relax, sleep.

Start again the next day.

It doesn't get much fucking better.
