That's... that's not a bad idea. I've had $100 in iTunes cards sitting around for 2 or 3 years now.

TPBM has never spent a single dollar on iTunes and never will.

I've gotten a couple of $.99 singles on iTunes, but hate their proprietary format. Don't do it any more.

tpbm also misses the "cent" sign on keyboards.

I do! Something about the ¢ sign is endearing. I guess it reminds me of vintage signs, and photos of soda shops, and penny candy; of old ads for cosmetics and patent medicines. :)

The person below me will tell me what kinds of candy they liked as a child and what (if any) they like now.

I also miss the cent sign!

I liked silly sugary things like astropops, candy cigarettes, and any other 'cheap' candy that appeals to kids. Today I'm a chocolate kinda gal.

TPBM has a favorite chocolate bar.

Yes... Metric time 100 hrs/day 100 min/hr, 100 sec/min.

TPBM is tired of the seasonal darkness and is ready for the days to become longer.

Yes please. I'd love to stop getting to work before sunrise and finishing after sunset.

TPBM barely notices the change in daylight because they're basically nocturnal.

Yes and no at the same time. Most of the time I don't notice, but when i'm working on cars its annoying to have to be done so early due to no light.

No, I haven't seen any Poland Ball cartoon character yet, but have heard about them.

I dunno. How warm do they keep those cars? I have that reaction to the cold thing in my bones.
tpbm isn't, however, particularly enchanted with the idea of a week on a beach completely unmoored from its locale and history either.

I am enchanted by a week of completely unmoored... that's what I do like about Burning Man. from it's locale and history? I'm not much for the beach, but I could stand it, and love it I'm sure.

tpbm did live near the ocean and misses it.

I haven't watched actual t.v. in a long time. but yeah, sort of, if streaming Ken Burns' The West counts. Very soothing, very interesting, sad too. Governor Anne Richardson has a few choice moments. One describing a pioneering relative's dependence on her two chickens in Texas among miles and miles of solitary life, she couldn't bring herself to eat them because they were such good company.

tpbm is thinking that maybe it's about time to get a handle on the gift exchange situation with family coming in a few days.

Nope. The few we're sending are sent, none of our families lives anywhere close. Just the two of us, and I'm making him breakfast, he's making me dinner. Gifts done.

Yes I have. During USAF survival school training, we had to eat worms, grass hoppers, and ants.
They weren't to bad.

Absolutely. In fact, the spell-checker is the only instant gratification I get.

The person below me has given up on Sani-Claws and is looking forward to the after-Christmas sales so they can get what they REALLY want in the way of instant gratification.
