Reuters' Photos of the Year 2013

Post by Bless » Mon Dec 30, 2013 12:39 am

A photo of BELIEVE taken by Jim Urquhart at this year's burn made it into Reuters' top photos of the year for 2013. Pretty neat.

The rest of the photos are quite spectacular as well: http://www.fubiz.net/en/2013/12/06/reut ... year-2013/

I'm giving this a nudge over to Experiences At Burning Man, since that's a better fit for photos from the event. I love that pic, it's got just the right amount of dust in the air IMO.

Anyone make any money of that photo? I Believe they did.
Commercial photography at the event should be prohibited.
Yay Reuters, at least the event is now getting the coverage it so deserves........

Isn't Reuters a Rupert Murdoch possession these days? Disgraceful. (I'm reading Robert Fisk, and that really brings forth the shame.)

I do appreciate it when the default world sees BM as something other than alcohol, drugs and nudity. On the other hand, beautiful photos may make people say that they want to "see" BM rather than participate. Still it's overall a positive.

Oh give this participation elitism a rest.

Let them come and "see" what it's all about, without judgement, so that they may be inspired to participate in their own way.

Believe showed up in Salt Lake City for New Year's EVE celebration, all lit up purdy-like. Nifty.
