Hello all!

I am still at work but figured I would come in to drown my sorrows. One of our nurses here is moving on to a bigger and better job elsewhere, we are happy for her of course as she's been going to school for a while to make this career move, but, budgets being what they are we can't replace her right away so my road trip to the southwest next month is not going to happen. :( But time off for TTITD has been okayed as well as time off in May to go camping with Elorrum. 8) 8) 8) So I am really, not too sad. Except for not being able to go to the RenFest with FIGJAM et al. :| :| :|

Beer, I would like a beer tonight...

Barkeep, please, copious amounts of virtual alcohol, I would swim through it like a baleen whale sifting krill. battles, battles, for no good reason. I want a divorce from my job, or a trial separation at least.

Jump into the Fishbowl, Elorrum... the best place to soak in virtual alcohol. (And my special secret!)

I wonder if that would work in real life... I'm sure that most people don't have the spare drink to fill a bathtub, but it's an interesting thought...

Apparently not. The skin's not that porous.

A little DMSO sun lotion will fix that.

There is the old joke about the (insert drunken ethnic stereotype here) who drowned at the brewery.

Had to get out three times to pee.

Then, after he drowned, he was cremated.
It took three days to put the fire out.

Good morning... and TGIF everyone! One of the benefits of a mid-week new year is that we get to that first Friday pretty quick - sounds good to me! Lots of fun things to try and get to today, so I'm off to load up on caffeine and get things going. Cheers!

Trilo gave us the Man again !
Yay!

spent time at the new Muir , talked with Rangers, and enjoyed our weather , sure to change to wintery soon
then went to the octagon house (looked at it for years) which a friend actually owns now

and yesterday I joined the Alpine Club, silly as I no longer ski downhill
but the love is forever I think.

Went over Donner summit a couple of days ago and hardly no snow on the south side.
I do hope we get some good storms soon. Today in Reno was beautiful, sunny and warm.

Morning Peeps. Hope you're all having a groovy day. Something about "Its the weekend - nothing can be done about it 'till monday" has lifted my load a bit. So I'm spending my time crocheting something I'm pretty sure no one ever has before me instead. Shall post pics when done (tho that could be months from now).

If you make that tea by boiling chunks of ginger AND garlic, it does the trick even better. Actually tastes great too.... Used this on my son alot when he was little, and it could cut a potential pnemonia down to a mere short-lasting cold lickitty split!

WOW, you know its dry if they reinstate fire restrictions. I didnt notice what the fire danger signs showed last week.
Yes, all the ski resorts are making snow right now, but that uses a lot of water.
Hope we get snow next week.
