This is a potentially fatally flawed game. It takes time to send out all the JRSs, so some people will get theirs before others.

Meh, personally I'd say don't be a poop and get caught up in punditry and speculation. 
The emails, blogs, and whatnot will be out in the wild soon enough.

I live in a parallel universe. Tickets went on sale Jan. 20th, and sold out in 1 hour. BM 2014 was dusty and hot. I stopped back here to tell you it sucked, don't go. It was better in 2015.

Just the info I was hunting for! Thanks to you and everyone else (esp. Trilo's great activity on this thread) I will be taking the morning off of the 12th/26th. Sign up for that JRS if you haven't already fellow noobs. As a first timer being worried about getting a ticket and other info it's surely eased a chunk off my worried mind.

The 12th of Feb will be for Directed Group Sales (theme camps, artists, typically veterans who bring the big camels) Unless you are contacted, it's not you.
Unless I'm mistaken about your circumstances, what you will want to do is be ready, in front of your computer, on Feb 26, noon PST for the Individual Sale (max of 2 tickets). The prior registration process for that is from Feb 20 noonPST to Feb 23 noonPST. You can register anytime in that window, and there is no crunch, though I recommend not waiting until the last minute.
If you are able to afford more expensive tickets and help the cause, ..see PreSale
First step though, fill out your burner profile
This will all become much more clear in your mind in the next few days.

I must thank you once more for clearing up the group sale tickets and the window for registration. I thought if you were part of any group/camp (i.e. MN regional community or BB&B) and coordinated with them you could get those tickets on the 12th. Seems I gotta be a bit more thorough in my readings, hah.

Yes, it is a good idea to become involved in your regional group. You can meet local burners, and open up potential avenues. It could be that indeed some of them may be involved in the Directed Group Sale, or point you in the direction where you might become a part of such a group..
