Pre-registration question

Post by Sarcophyton » Wed Jan 08, 2014 9:00 pm

Is pre-registering for a ticket sale different from registering a profile?

The pre-registration link on the ticket page takes me to the page to register a profile, so I'm not sure....

My guess is that once you've created a profile, you need to register for the sale as a separate action using that account.

My reasoning: there are people who already have profiles from events past who might not want to register for tickets this year. Plus, everyone will need to input updated credit card info for the sale.

When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.

Thanks!

After poking around a bit, the snark level appears to be tolerable....

Piggy-backing on this question... is there any benefit to being "first"/early to register for ticket sales?
Is there a finite number of registrations for each sale? Or does it only matter that you're on time for the actual ticket sale once you've registered?

The registration opens at 5am where we are, and we've set an alarm to get up. But if it doesn't matter so much for registration, we'll just leave the alarm clock set for ticket day.

There is no race to pre-register. No need to set the alarm, as you can do this at your leisure.
If history is any indication, as soon as the registration window opens, it will be slammed with people thinking that it's good to be first in the line.
