That was me. :)
And that was one of my all time fave experiences EVER at BMan.. Id never dreamed of playing a crowd of that size. Mustve been 300-400 people out front, half a dozen art cars...
Really, that night would not have happened without the fire spinners. It was a prescheduled spin session that was supposed to go from 10pm till 11:30. I ended up starting at 9pm and the spinners didnt spin themselves out until 2am! Phenomenal. I will forever have visions of that flaming hula hoop girl dancing thru my dreams.....
Anyhoo, I can get you a relatively exact play list of the entire evening if you wish..
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Thankee kindly Duke! Glad to hear you had a good journey. Always good to know when Ive helped facilitate that, to whatever degree. That's definitely one of my primary goals! That & exposing people to new music.
I went essentially unaltered all week - just never got the drive to get super loopy. Which was cool, as I was in a clearer mind state to read little numbers & push little buttons on the mixer in the dark. I did have one helluva headache on Wed night tho. Started before the spin jam & no amount of water that I guzzled would get rid of it. I think it was enhanced by the fact that I was sitting next to two large propane tanks fuming away.. but I remember thinking that the pain was not what I was going to remember anyway, so I kept focus on the music.
Did you happen to drop by the dome on Fri night after midnight? I was spinning another set inside the dome, designed for journeys of the non-danceable type.
If ya like, look up those Hookahdome kids on Tribe.net or at Hookahdome.com - one of the nicest groups of folks youll meet on the playa, or anywhere else for that matter. Mad props to all of em for that awesome camp setup, & kickass sound system.

Got pix?
Does anyone have any pictures related to the dome or the magic carpet?
It seemed like every 30 seconds someone was snapping a picture as we flew the flying carpet around, but we only have a dozen or so pictures from this year of our own. We'd love to see more!
