We're going to be holding a fundraiser in OC for a burner couple (core Bad Idea Theater folks) who've lost nearly everything in a fire.
Would like to promote the fundraiser and also invite contributions for raffle prizes.
Recommendation for an appropriate e-playa forum? Or... is there one?
Thanks!
Larry

Re: Appropriate fundraiser forum?
I'm sorry to hear about your campmates' situation.
Unfortunately, as per our posted fundraiser guidelines that would not be appropriate to post on ePlaya.

Whoops! Glad I asked.
Thanks
PS: You might consider an FAQ entry for the fundraiser topic; that's where I went looking anyway.

No worries. That FAQ page covers the basic use of the site software, and does not cover issues of policy. The Terms Of Service and Community Guidelines are linked at the bottom of every page, and also included in the Overview Of The ePlaya section of the site. And then for good measure, the fundraiser guidelines are covered again on the Show Your Support -> Support A Project board.

That is sad, but am I the only one who finds it rather ironic?psylentlarry wrote: a burner couple who've lost nearly everything in a fire.

Oh, it's more than that. About the only stuff that escaped unburnt/undamaged was theme camp gear still in the back of his truck from our last decom event.

Loved seeing Bad Idea Theatre at the SD decom! I brought a non-burner friend and watching movies with you guys was the highlight of the weekend for us both. My pal later went on to write a Spanish essay about the Mexican-Vesuvian vampire romance/sci-fi flick for a college class. A+, of course.

When he puts out his lamp, he sends the flower, or the star, to sleep.
That is a beautiful occupation.
