BRAS Telescope

The Black Rock Astronomical Society is bringing a telescope to the playa! We've joined forces with the Black Rock Observatory to bring a Dobsonian telescope with a 20" aperture out to BRC so those wandering away from the lights of the esplanade can peek in and view the stars.... or planets.... or nebulas... or a space ship.... oh wait, that was last year.

What we need to find among you hippies, furries, techies and pyros are people who work in a related field and want to participate with the BRAS and BRO's efforts by giving a lecture or presentation on telescopes or the cosmos. If you know a super smart human capable of this please let us know!

We're putting the word out for volunteers!

We need a welder or metal worker with sheet metal tools and a CNC machine who can assist us in building critically important components of the telescope who is local to the metropolitan New York area or within driving distance. If you are someone like this or know someone like this please contact me

hello good people of eplaya! The list of things we need to start preparing for playa is growing! In addition to the electric winch and an 8ft ladder needed in ny for this weekend, we also need someone who can help us fundraise and work with us on our Kickstarter! ummm, that's not necessarily needed by this weekend but the sooner the better! Let us know if you are that person!
