I finally managed to get the preliminary plans for my camp written down. Ideas have been bubbling for months and months, but I wanted to get something to put together and share with campmates, as well as get the budget done.

Got clay for this years pendants.
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

Turned in my old geo metro to the Pick-n-Pull in Chico. $1,500 from California's turn-in-a-junker-program. I got money ! I'll be joining the regular ticket pool instead of waiting for a low-income ticket. Now I just need to find a truck to haul my golf-cart. :coffee:

( Last month a hit-n-run driver tore my rear bumper off. It was only held on by 2 tiny bolts. Arrgghh! A blessing in disguise! )

Yeah! My granddaughter Lillian commandeered mine. She uses it as a stethoscope for her dolls.

Acquired two new camp mates!

Tested the batteries on the travel trailer. Looks like they still charge and hold a charge.
Also replaced the spare tire. We had one tire go belly up when the hitch snapped on that side.

This came in the mail a few weeks back.

(30″, 36″ or 42″) three heights. dining, bar or prep, and bartender what's up?
61" x 22" table top. good size. packs down well, about 25 lbs.
I like it, It beats standing over a small table to cook (will probably need a board or something to keep from melting the top.) or chop. Also it's a good buffet size.
$35 on sale. I've been coveting one since my neighbors brought one to BRC about three years ago.

Helped ken fix the lights on his heavy coat. Looked up current shade cloth prices. Looks to be about 106.00 for what we need. We are extending the dye shop another section.

Today:
Raided my local Army/Navy surplus store and got components for what should be an all-around awesome utility belt.
Made a costume wish list.
Looked at last year's packing list and started editing (More of these! Less of those! NONE of those. Didn't think of that shit...)
Started planning my LED color guard flag (since I can't hoop worth a damn)

2013 was my first burn, and I've lost count of the number of dance parties I've been to in New York since. As I go, I'm making sure that each new costume/accessory that I buy or make is playa-ready and not moopy (no feathers, sequins, dangly bits, loose glitter, etc).

I really like this thread. Getting ready a little bit each day makes me feel closer to home. Can't wait for my sophomore burn.

Thanks, Tatonka! I've spent countless hours reading eplaya over the past couple of years, so I figure I may as well accept never sleeping or getting anything productive done, and start posting :)

Ordered an Egyptian thobe to wear ( handmade in Cairo- might as well give them some work.), it is white cotton with wide sleeves, hemmed to the foot arch. It is a basis for a variety of tribal, cultural, or regional styles depending on accessories.

I have been reading up on caravan cultures. ( During the Dust bowl years, my family migrated from Texas to California. Like Jode in "Grapes of Wrath".)
