It's possible that you'll get the vehicle pass when you buy a ticket, and that will free you to be excited. I think you're sorta not committing because of that looming possibility.

I dunno.... I've done 8 BMs since '00. I'm just not feeling the excitement this year. And it just ain't like it used to be.
2000 was a great BM, and 2004 was probably my favorite ever. I just dunno...

Say.... I say.... I just tried to buy something on Craigslist. And a couple minutes after we made e-mail contact, the seller updated the ad and raised the price. Being a rube, I wasn't ready for that. In retail stores it is called bait-n-switch. Now I'm printing any ad before I respond to it. I'm guessing this is a common CL problem?

Oh, there is definitely "country" music that I like -- even like a lot. But that wasn't it.

I got hosed on 1500 bricks, the guy and his kids hand unloaded them, and then he told me how much I owed: Which, was not what was agreed upon.
I had printed the info, and after arguing some, showed him.
He explained, he didn't speak english well (russian) and, his boy had been the one corresponding with me.......I said I would only pay the lower price, he agreed, and then I saw him, telling the kid he was in for a beating, and the two younger brothers. All started to cry (they were on the other side of the truck and though I could not hear.
I went in the house, got full price, and handed it to him, telling him I thought he was a cowardly, cheating and lying C#*& and not to threaten kids near me!! He said to mind my own business, which I said "fair enough, but, this is on my propery, and I'll bitch slap you back to russia if you abuse a kid here" and then bid him leave, quckly.

so yeah, lots of chicanery!!!
don't be alone, either, if you think it'd shady..........

yeah, the music is sucky, but I could see it as cute, with the right melodies, and the thought of her wishing and writing, just gives me a smile. If you knew her, you'd understand.

Some had mentioned sending her a letter or whatever, and if you want to do that, PM me for a mailing addy. She is so excited that anyone even heard it/!! haaha

Yeah, confirm price before taking delivery. This was a $20.- item! And he raised it to $35. Talk about chickenshit. Poor sod. I didn't think they had such people in one of the wealthiest towns on Earth. I called him on it, and he has not replied further. Reckon that's "all done". It was just a floor rug, for camp. But I'm going down there tomorrow anyway.

And, I seem to have four nice "decor" items lined up for camp. Rugs and ottomans.

Yes, you do have to be careful on CL. I never had the agreed price switched on me, I usually get it at a lower price.
I did inquire about a BM ticket last year. Bozo asked for $400 obo. I made him that offer and he said he would get back to me. When he did, he wanted $600, I told him to forget it. Funny thing is a week before the event he was still trying to sell the ticket.

I also am scrounging decor items for our camp, had some luck at savers here in Reno.
I do love the hunt.
