I know the deadline for grants is nearing and I'd be hard pressed to think it wouldn't get funding if the right people for the job could actually build it.
Let me know!

No bitterness whatsoever here, but somehow you CREATED some.
See how easy that was?
Now try that with your project.
What makes you think you can't build it?
Have you tried?
It's how most of us learn.
You want to see it on the playa?
Bring it!!!!
I want to see it too!!!!!!!!!
Got who fooled?? O.o lolElliot wrote:.
A: It'll all straighten itself out.
B: I've sure got her fooled.![]()
C: Yep, it can be built.
D: Now the ePlaya-wide brainstorming begins.
Thanks Trilobyte! I understand the concept of radical self reliance and building what you dream up, but sadly I don't have the means to make it happen this year. I'm fortunate to simply get to make it to burning man. I have always had a knack for creating and making things happen, and thus my time has been dedicated to taking over and running an independent business. I've got other families to consider when I take time away from the business, and well I guess I'll have to settle for just enjoying the burn and possibly contributing financially to projects already in the works as well as volunteering while I'm there. I wish I knew where the collaborating of ideas for projects happen, cause I would love to contribute intellectually too. I suppose I shall keep attending and see if I run in to people in the future who might want to just freely talk about ideas and get together to make things happen. As it stands, my first time at burning man I went by myself and well, I'm hooked!! It would be pretty cool to have a community project where the idea behind the piece is always a collaboration of multiple people's ideas and then morph multiple ideas into one. Then people who can't make it to burning man can feel included on the playa too.trilobyte wrote:Welcome to the boards - I'll also second the notion that Burning Man is a do-ocracy. If you want to see something on the playa, DO IT! Don't know how? Get radically self reliant and figure it out. People will respect and support you far more for trying (and embracing radical self-reliance) than by posting what amounts to a "someone build this for me."
Take a deep breath and think about it for a minute. There are thousands of us. Tens of thousands, even. Coming up with a fun/hilarious/inspirational/sexy/awesome idea... is the easy part. Making it happen is what takes work. If you can't make that happen this year, that's okay (hell, I've got a dozen or more ideas that I've been wanting to do for more than 5 years). Do what you can, make friends and collaborators, figure it out. If you can't be bothered to try, why should anyone else?
Good luck!
I see your carnal nature and raise you a ( . Y . ) LolSimon of the Playa wrote:all of my muses show me their tits.

I remember a human powered carousel in 07 I think.........people having sex on it in every imaginable way, while it went up and down. IIRC, people drove it while others rode.
When I first read that I thought you were talking about Doc's RV.4 z wrote:
