Okay, here's the plan. A bunch of us show up in Texas, in May sometime, and, in chorus, tell her boss to shove it.

Only, I'm going to use an exclamation point and tell her boss to shove it!, because that's how I roll.

MDF, remind me to show you my recycled jeans backpack! It's perfect for the Playa, and is only wanting now for a few more patches. It's now on its second pair of shoulder straps. (I made it on my treadle machine in the '70s.) (The treadle is still in perfect working condition, and is used often.)

*coffee* does seem to be the appropriate response to breaking a handle today last year. :colonel mustard:

It was lovely to see you and Lemur, however briefly.

It's totally like people on eplaya are celebrities, and you're just gaga to meet any of them...

Took inventory of dye and scarves. We have 1/2 what we need to match last year. Now I have playa dust from the containers all over me. Happy happy!

Ahahaha! It really is. It's a new and better version of celebrity made possible by the internet!

While (as a longtime RHPS fan) I have a soft spot in my heart for Susan Sarandon (who was apparently at either last year's Burn or the one before) there are personalities on ePlaya that I would actually rather run into than virtually any famous person.

Even though I'll act like an idiot in person when I meet them, like I usually do.

Found a great faded black scarf with massive metal tassels.

Now I just have to learn how to move slowly and dantily enough around as to not poke someone's eye out with it should it decide to gain momentum with my movements.

It's actually the perfect training tool..... kind of like the sunglasses my father used to place in the middle of the dash when he was teaching me how to drive. If they budged an inch in any direction I was doing something wrong.

I'm going for a "new and improved" version of the unchained manic puppy this year. A less rabid version.

This takes TRAINING. Lots and lots of TRAINING.

He kept it hid And so did she.

Then passed right by- And never knew.”

In the last week I have bought seven well-used floor-rugs for camp. That makes around a dozen total so far, so I'll soon be ready for a dusty surface!

Picked up a couple of pairs of gloves to use for set-up/tear down . One for me, and one to gift, should I see someone in need.

They were only $1.50 each, but sturdy enough to fulfill my needs.

Oh... I also started a bit of a packing list.

It's more like a list of items I have, and notes on which bag to pack them in.... Like reminding myself to put the gloves in an outer pocket of my backpack because they're one of the first items I will need when I arrive.

When you put it like that, I don't know if you're talking about the tidybowl man, or something more Ygmir's line. Oh well, it's a special little world that I live in.
