Just to clarify. If I fall off my chair, scrape my knees, and need to get back up, I want help and will accept it gladly.

Good morning!

The infringement was reported to the IP team, and the thread that was inadvertently promoting the video was pulled. Even though the intention was to express shock and outrage, we don't want to give those guys even a single extra click or view.

I was up early, and had a couple episodes of a food network show where they visit diners and greasy spoons all over the country while I was tinkering around a bit. For the life of me I know I had a busy day planned, but all I can think of now is wanting to make some kind of slow-cooked BBQ all day.

Bwa-hah-hah-hah-ha!

*Rhino pulls out the soapbox to the accompanying groans of the masses.....*

Lawyers? Speak to me of lawyers?

We're supposed to be a nation subject to the rules of law. True. IF you have the cash to pay for legal representation. To quote William Shakespeare's Macbeth AND The Eagles' tune 'Get Over it"....no, perhaps not THAT far....

Instead, let me tell you of a recent occurrence here that totally blew my fragile mind. I was attending an excavator's 'summit' locally, where they attempt to increase awareness of safety precautions, latest developments in technology for installing utilities, etc....but they had one training session I signed up for in advance about 'ONE-CALL LAW AND LEGAL OBLIGATIONS'. I thought it would be outstanding because they had attorneys from the state attorney general's office in attendance. How wrong I was. I turns out that I knew the law as well as they were teaching, and I even stumped them with one or two questions.

I'm now trying to figure out the reasons. Does the state AG's office get the bottom of the barrel when it comes to attorneys or is it term limits that's causing this?

And I still don't trust lawyers.

Indeed it does.

I second the notion that the playa has teeth....indeed, they're FANGS.

Taking the mod hat back off, I didn't end up making a bunch of BBQ (despite what my tastebuds wanted after watching that show this morning). I ended up making a nice breakfast, then got to work on some stuff around the house and then got to tinkering with working on camp plans. I've made a lot of great progress with the 3D modeling, getting a bunch of tarps and fabrics all set up so the materials behave and look right. I got the shower curtains sorted out too, hooray for that.

After all that, my brain was feeling particularly melty, so I'm cooling it with a nice cold pint (or three) of vodka and vicious chemicals. Next up, I think tonight it's time for potstickers!

dang, folks are scarce........*sets out appetizers and drinks*

I'll be going to get a load of granite this week, drive most of the length of the "Gold Country/Mother Load" of Ca on the trip down hwy 49. It's always nice going through all the little mining towns and such. Takes an extra 1.5 hours, but, so worth it.

Good morning! I've been up a couple hours.

Just took a snapshot of a plastic part for a warranty claim. Bought a second repair stand for bicycles, and two pieces are plastic, one of them already broken. Plastics are not the wonderful future! This piece appears to have broken just from over-tightening of the mounting screw.

Other than that, I'm fine, thank you.

Morning YG, ASD. Was just up in Jackson the other day, YG and it is a beautiful drive Another beautiful sunny and warm day here. Made some pottery yesterday and then a trip to Yountville in the Napa Valley. The recent rain did green some of the hills, but for sure, not nearly enough. Sounds like you are doing better, YG and that is good news.

Morning, Elliot. Got to use the right plastic for the application or you're screwed. Some plastics are really excellent choices for the right applications. Sounds like that part you describe was to make the part cheaper and not better. Bad!!!

Cheers

I travel Rt 80 nearly every day. When I'm headed westbound, I often think, "If I just kept driving..."

I've even programmed it into my GPS.

Yes! I think about that every time I get behind the wheel. My car has been there, and knows the way.

I just finished setting up a costco carport with sides. This thing was gifted to me during the off season -- here on ePlaya, in fact. Playa Dust fell out of it.
For now it serves as storage behind the barn (barn not big enough!), but I can take it with me in August. Time will tell.

Next up... 18 foot dome -- just for trial fitting in the front yard.

Hi gang!!
got a new set of tires for the dually today. I order them on line, and mount and balance them myself. Sure saves money!
I pay about half for the same tire from a store.
and I know it's static balanced as well as bubble balanced, when I get done. and it's faster. sure love having a tire machine.

Yes, indeed. Somewhere I have a picture of a strip mall with that name.

"Glory Hole" must have been a "thing" to be stretched in that way to refer to something else. There are at least two antecedents. The pertinent one here is a mining term, I'm not sure if it's gold or minerals underground in a chamber, but something like that. The other one (and the one I prefer) is glass. A glass furnace is called a glory hole. In both cases it's taking out something glorious.
