tell us about the theatre, and the grandkids.
The theatre is great. Am I allowed to say it has a website you could visit? paramount-abilene.org. It's like stepping back in time. The building itself is very close to its original build, but we have state of the art lighting/sound/projection equipment for our productions/events. We have a very talented production staff, and produce 3 live stage productions each year, we have a classic film series, our short film festival is in its 16th year - we receive entries from all over the world. And then we rent the space to local theatre and dance companies, community choirs, bands...etc. The variety keeps life interesting.
The grandkids! Well what kind of grandmother would I be if I didn't say they were the most precious angel babies on earth?
Seriously, they are. My grandson is 7 and is more fun than I ever thought possible. Typical boy - farts and burps are hilarious... My granddaughters are 7 and 11. I have only been able to claim them as mine for a couple of years. I am still getting to know them. They all get along great. There will be another baby girl in May. Looking forward to that! I adore them all, but am glad I am 2 hours away...close enough to visit often, but far enough away to not be on the call list for daycare or school.....
