Hey sandwich: that reminds me of people who come into my store and don't hang up their phone, but ask me a question. almost always, the answser to the question, whatever it is, is NO. You don't have time to hang up the phone and talk to me like a normal human, I don't have time to help you.

I hate those people but one of my friends in Chicago found a way to get even. She listens to the conversations and writes down any bank info or addresses and when she is getting off the train she hands the info to the person and leaves them with a simple question "do you think I kept a copy next time talk quieter or get off the train" and off she goes.

i wish you were closer; i'd drive over and visit you. it's long overdue.
give me an address and I will give you the keys to the no hangover temple

I would love to see you, roll up some smokes, have a few drinks and chat like we did on the playa. Wipe aside some of the bullshit we ended up wading through.

cuz your weather sucks? cuz it's really difficult to get my job anywhere else but here? cuz I am a lazy mutha fucka?

Canadia? Perhaps. I have two scouting expeditions to do. I need to go check out Vancouver with my wife and also go check out the South Island of New Zealand where my bro just bought a house. Honestly, I have not been thinking about it that much. That is, until this morning...

Warning: Political vitriol below- feel free to ignore.
thing is, I have been on a semi-news boycott since the elections in order to try and be a little happier. In other words, emphasizing the act locally aspect of the equation for my own well being. Then, on a whim I turned on Amy Goodman this morning and heard about the muther fuckers what is being appointed right now. You know, the guy who says torture is AOK and the guy who says if you are raped by your father at the age of 14 you can fuck off and have that baby anyway. Yeah, those gems. So, I heard these little tidbits and now I am all 'fuck this country'.

Which reminds me, the other day I was knocking back booze with some pals, and some pals of pals. Turns out one of the pals of pals is a homophobe. One of the pals is gay but pretty discreet about it. So the ugly mutha fucka starts talking about this tragedy in Iraq where some guy whose job it is to enter coordinates for strikes of some kind or another screws up and enters in his own x-y and ends up getting splattered. I was lit at this point and full of loathing for this prick so I says 'Sounds like fucking poetic justice to me dude.'. He says sarcastically 'well that's patriotic.' It struck me because all during this war debate lefties like me get into this kneejerk of 'yeah man, I love this country but I hate the war' and some such shit like that. Well, after this guy makes his snarky comment it dawns on me: I am not a fucking patriot. Not after the past couple of years and the majority in this country vote for more of the same please. Not any more I aint.

I hate everything that those muthafucka's stand for, and I am still a patriot. Even if they hijack the power (they have), they can't poison the ideals. Fuck 'em. It's my country too...

You know, I don't really have a problem with it on trains or busses... to me, it's no different than having the TWO people next to me talking to each other loudly. It really doesn't bother me.

Other situations, though: like at dinner, at a movie theatre, at *gasp* a REAL theatre, things like that: drive me nuts.
