Yer welcome. I just seen the word "fundie" floating around and I was honestly wondering if the context was encompassing gun folks. If I appear a rabid NRA member, while I am an NRA member- I find some of their techniques about as bad as the anti-gun folks. I don't personally believe in hunting, as we have breed herd animals into stupidity- might as well eat the idiots we've created than eat something with a possibility of surviving in the wild.
I believe more in an armed populace as a possible deterant for a self-interest centered government. While our governement seems, at this time, to be somewhat stable and permenant- no government has stood the test of time. I also believe in the right of an individual to possess a vehicle of overwhelming and deadly force- as I have seen the results first-hand of friends and relatives meeting brutality at the hands of others that they cannot defend against. Large psychotic people have a tendancy to ignore restraining orders, knifes, and large sticks. A pistol can make the difference between a dead/permenantly disabled relative/friend and a live, healthy one.
As to religious beliefs- dad was Catholic, mom was Baptist. Spent a couple years in Catholic school. So yes, I am an atheist. Less of a 'you're all wrong' atheist and more of a 'whatever floats your boat' atheist.
And Badger- what do you mean? That was my Catholic school uniform. At least the collar and chain.
