another shade question
another shade question
As for a shade structure for my little pop up tent, I have the REI Alcove with Wind Walls. I figured that I'd have to buy something sturdier for BM. However, I have read other posts that suggest that if I stake it securely, it might be OK. Any tips or suggestions to a first timer? Thanks (:

Military surplus tent stakes & parachute cord.
Drive stakes flush so you don't have to cap them.

Thanks for taking the time reply. So, it sounds like if I'm just really on top of it with the stakes and cords, I can get away with my REI gear. You gave me the answer I was hoping to hear. Though, just to be thorough, if anyone else wants to put in their 2 cents, I welcome all other opinions re: whether or not an REI Alcove with Windows (if properly staked and tied) should be able to handle playa conditions. Thank you(:
