Yep. That should work. Also, i think there's a lime used in gardening that would work. You're basically making a solution to soak the corn, so any remaining solids can be removed from the solution.

Thank you both. This is why I'm a cook and not a chef. Chefs go to culinary school to learn all the fine points. I went to geology field camp instead and lent my fair share to the new mountainous terrain forming in back of the bunkhouse called 'Mount Beercan Terrane'.

So, there I am transporting a load from the old house to the new house...
And the side door on the van stops working.

I'm so fucked...

At least I got out of the van.

Come Monday morning (8? 9?) I will call the mechanic at the place that works on cripple vans. I have a friend who can drive it there. He'll have to walk back, but he does that with the dog. If I could get in, I could take the bus home in that good chair.
If he can open the door. And if he can fix it so it still works and I don't have to buy something new(er).

I just bought a house, so it's not like I have scads of cash laying around...

Obviously?

I wonder if they get on with the war rabbit. Of if one of them is the war rabbit...

Loved your "Moonlight" - post a link here? And are all the women in your family so buxom? Except for Thisbe, who is strangely flat - what gives? Walls are generally flat, that I understand.
Yes Bin, big boobs are definitely encoded in our DNA. Though Thisbe is a special case. Link to that silly bit of mid-summer madness:

er, "leave no trace" does not mean, "never have a trace." All that was neatly pushed into one big firewood pile at the bottom of the hill.

For some reason Yerba Mate makes me twitchy. But if I don't have two cups of coffee in the morning, my joints hurt all day. Yay caffeine.

Beautiful hot weather here.

Good Morning ALL!

yes Yggy, you do stay connected with everyone to be absolutely certain all is well
what a job!
my son is still getting his supervised "hours" to be professional at that

when Loony came and told me about the imprisonned ones in the box . I thought we were talking war stories again
on the way home I heard the real story
we came to the Hof in the van my son Grady's wife uses at her stores to move precious items. The interior is completely locked if the door closes
well Grady and Bill moved out the antique chairs and the door closed and they were unable to get out
They made a small hole in the wiring to the front cabin of the van and used a ski pole to honk the horn and flip the lights in a Morse code SOS
they thought if Loony saw that ;he would rescue them.
He did ! and Yggy was with him .
I was off having a fine time and heard it , embellished with serious anxiety later.

Aserendipity,

You were up and gone so early. Didn't get a chance to say goodbye but it was lovely seeing you again. My son AdAm really enjoyed visiting with you too. As did Sadie

Lucky, my son had to work..so we got up when the birds began .
My bag has an orange lining and soon they were swooping down to really check me out !
I certainly feel connected with you and admit your ribs were better than mine.

All of you are wonderful

WOW!!! What a fine time at the HOF seeing old friends and making new. YG, once again , dear buddy, you made a load of folks very happy. The HOF really is a beautiful and amazing creation in the middle of a forest wonderland with a view of an unspeakably beautiful lake that is out of a dream. And the food. Piney and Titwi's roasted pig at dinner and the fresh cut pork belly bacon in the morning were a part of the bounteous movable feat we all gorged our selves on. Fine Port Wine, Kraken and so much more. Oh yeah, a great time was had by all and a huge thanks to YG for making it all possible.

Got home at about 3, in time to make the Berkeley Rep show in the evening. Elorrum, thanks so much for traveling with me. You were a great traveling partner. LF, thanks for posting all those pics. Loved them. Be seeing you soon in camp

What a great bunch of pictures of a great bunch of folks! It looks like it just gets better every time. Sigh....

And MDF: What a fun time you guys had in that theater clip! You do this every summer?

Please give that Tim of yours a great big hug (which would have you hugged back) and think of it as being from me. I miss you guys!!
