I've been lurking here since last summer, when I became obsessed with going to Burning Man. I signed up for the OMG Sale at the time, but decided against it in the end, when I realized how ill-prepared I was going to be. I was also slightly anxious about going alone, but I've gotten over that part (and hopefully will have mastered the prepared part, too).
I emerged from yesterday's ticket sale with a ticket, in what seems like the final minute or two. Of course, the vehicle passes were sold out by then, but I'm just grateful to be going. Plus, there's plenty of time to sort that out, so no worries there.
I don't know anyone personally who has been to BM. I feel like I must represent what is a very small minority — and that thought gets reinforced when I come to this board and see what large crews and extended circles so many seem to have. In time, perhaps... One can wish, right?
