One of my philosophies I got from Monty Python.... :D

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life

Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you're chewing life's gristle,
Don't grumble,
Give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistle]

If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
:D
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle.
That's the thing.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistle]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistle]

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...

Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistle]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistle]

Life's a piece of shit,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke it's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...

Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistle]

Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistle]

Repeat to fade...

I crush the entire e-playa tech team. And I mean every single last one of you geeks, too. Sensei can feel the frenzied pace with which you've been working all the freakin' way up here in Seattle!

Way to go, people!

Thank you.

I'm begining to crush Natthebat... she's got FIRE!... even though she is defending what I consider to be a worthless proposition.

Ditto. Her long, clear post, so lacking in the over-the-top hyperbole that is, alas, my specialty said things that are important but too often tacit.

Sensei just had the best birthday he's had in years and I owe it all to the following (alphabetically listed) e-playans...

GuinivereElise - Miss Guin came out on a school night just for Sensei. Actually, she came out to see Sandwichman jam but I'm tellin' myself I came first! IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND I'M ALLOWED TO BE DELUSIONAL! P.S. I loved your sparkle this evening; and you looked so beautiful. I love you Guinivere!

MISS Lydia Love - MISS Love looked stunning and chic and glowed her usual 50,000 watt glow. Then she snuck a box of chocolates in Sensei's coat pocket when he wasn't looking and refused to take credit. Good thing Guin spilled the beans. Thank you so much, Lydia. She knows what chocolate means to Sensei. She even let Sensei grab her butt (3 times!). I love you Lydia!

Rian Jackson - Miss Rian was her usual beautiful, charming self. She had a healthy sort of glow goin' too, which makes me worry less about the little shit. It was a school night for her too, but she was a trooper and hit the Cha- Cha Lounge with us. Her laughter pleases Sensei greatly. I love you Rian!

Sandwichman - This Portlander came all the way up to Seattle just to buy Sensei a drink. Ok, there was his gig at the Aurafice, but that was just an afterthought; at least that's what I'm tellin' myself. I LOVED THE MUSIC, JASON! You know didjeridoos make Sensei quite horny. And I love you Jason!

Thanks again to Guin, Lydia, Rian and Sandwichman for making this a very, very special night for Sensei. I kept noticing the jealous looks the other folks at Aurafice were giving me and I have to say, DAMN, I got some seriously hot-looking friends!

and i crush helitack, for helping me dream of other landscapes and other lives that, whatever their reality, float through here like a welcome dream.

How can you NOT love someone like this?
Rian Jackson wrote:against human flesh, sure the AK is effective. against anything armoured it really doesn't seem to be. plus, maybe i'm just making this up (?) but i seem to remember hearing they are less accurate than, say an m16.

they are cheaper than m16s, also, but the bullets are more expenisve, meaning that for most who would have need of an AK47, they cannot waste shot.

it'd be easier if 7.62x39 was really more expensive than .223. but that's only a minor quibble...

Crushin' ActionGirl:
without her Larry would never make it anywhere. but the real reason is that she just kicks some freakin' ass. Good company in the best Seattle fashion, even if she is misguided in her choice of cities to live in . And further, she could have hung out with all her adoring fans, but let me drag her into shmoozing with us online dorks instead. Why? Because she loves us, you dope. (Either that or she's just being super nice....)
